Would be nice to see McDavid look like the McDavid of old in these last 4 games before Bettman's idiotic vanity cashgrab nobody in the world gives a f*** about happens... but I suspect McDavid already has his mind squarely focussed on thatt garbage tournament.

I can't remember the last time he had a dominant game. It's been a long, long time.

Those lines are...something.

It’s probably the right call to start moving Podz down the lineup. He’s been an offensive black hole for a while. Perry has been playing really well lately too.

Burnout could be a real issue for Perry (we saw it in the playoffs last season) so I don’t think he can be a long term solution on the top line. Would be cool to see Skinner get an extended look with his play as of late but we all know that isn’t happening.

Not even gonna complain about it. I'm done seeing Arvid get free parking on Drais line and do nothing at all with it.

Podz lack of finish is really quite amazing. Posters here were critical of Kahun when he scored 9G in 45games one season and he was only on Drais line some of the time, not most of the time. The lack of scoring by Arvid and Podz is hard to support. They just are not getting it done. I don't think Podz is grinding as well either as he's been getting hurt recently and perhaps backed off a bit.

A pair of presumably dumb Leaf fans financed about 20% of my total season ticket cost by buying my seats off me for this one (sorry everyone for putting 2 more in the building). Leafs here on a Saturday night is pretty much a license to print money on resale.

Hopefully we kick the Leaf's ass as a personal thank you for the subsidy, and the burden of having them in our arena.

It would be nice if Knob would put lines together that actually stay together. So sick of the juggling act and I imagine players are as well.

There is no need to qualify with "presumably"

I wonder if Eastern media member's and Leaf fans' heads would actually explode if they had to watch the late game on HNIC with their precious leafs? god forbid the visiting team adjust their schedule instead of the home team starting a game 3 hours early just to cater to those meat puppets.

God I hate Toronto and the Eastern Canadian circle jerks with the Leafs, their fans, and the Media....

The problem is that he hasn't found the right combinations yet. He's too stubborn to stick with things don't work (i.e. Podz in the top-six) while pulling other configurations apart after one game.

At least Stonehands is finally out of the top six but Snowpants is still there. McDrai together, and Skinner in the bottom six is such a stubborn flex by Knobby. Why not try some new things? Skinner with McDavid, RNH with Draisaitl, Henrique in the top six...the options are limitless.

I can agree to an extent, fact is we’re a winning team sitting at game 51 and he still plays with every single line nightly.
Back in the day It was Gretzky-Kurri, Mess-Anderson and a rotating winger usually on a year to year basis, the result? Cup after cup. I played at a high level for 10 years, obviously not pro but chemistry with linemates is a thing. For all the good to great players on this team it’s so confusing when you hear a guy like McDavid saying we need more offence. Anyways, my rant for the day.

Makes sense. That would be the equivalent of us running McDavid-Hyman and RNH-Draisaitl. Seems like a fairly balanced top six. Players like Pod, Arvy, J. Skins, etc. can rotate in and out of these twosomes.
