Hopefully this is a BOUNCE back game against the Ducks. They had some really fortunate BOUNCES go their way last time but we're too good for them on the normal night. One thing Knoblauch will need to do is stop BOUNCING J. Skinner between lines. Even if he hasn't been great defensively he deserves a consistent home in the top nine after taking his scratch in stride.

Anyway a win not only in this one but against all the lesser teams during this upcoming soft stretch in our schedule would be great to help get us home ice advantage in the ploffs against LA, looking forward to BOUNCING them again in the first round.

Bounce. Bounce bounce. BOUNCE. Good luck boys.

Just like the last time we played them, if we simply bring a focused, hard working, professional approach to the game we'll win easily. If we dick around and half ass it like we did last weekend then we'll put ourselves in a position to lose again. It's that simple IMO.

I think I'd lean towards starting Pickard against the Ducks and Skinner against the Kraken, but not sure.

What the hell are these lines lol? Knoblauch is willing to demote Hyman over RNH, the guy who can't piss a drop next to McDavid for nearly 40 games this year? Nuge would also be a wayyyy better 3C than Janmark, but no let's not do something that kills two birds with one stone. Brutal.

Looks like Knob is aware of the age and lack of speed in the bottom 6 so he's trying different things but once again- this organization will do everything except give Noah Philip a shot at one of the bottom 2 C spots lol. Comical at this point.
Even though Hyman scored 50 last year, I still get the sense Connor wants the puck more from him. Brown is a decent passer.

If they're going to move Hyman or RNH off of the first line, why not drop one of them to the second line? Pod is a bottom-six player and our second line has run cold recently.

I think it's a mistake to look at Hyman on the 3rd line as a demotion. If you're looking at this lineup and you want to add some pace/forecheck to the 3rd line, Hyman is probably the only guy that fits the bill. Arvidsson maybe too, but to a lesser degree.

The third line has been handicapped by poor wingers that either can't play with pace, can't play defensively, or can't score. RNH does nothing to fix any of those in a third line wing role.

Yeah, I think some are too married to Hyman being a staple in the top 6. He is a very versatile player and can drive play on his own (to an extent). Part of why he was a great signing is he can play up and down the lineup like he did with the Leafs. They just haven't felt the need to do so here (nor had the depth to try other options in the top 6).

Hyman can put the biscuit into the basket. Nuge is a set up guy. He is trying to spread scoring though out the roster

Second line had 2 goals last game and dominated possession.
I thought the second line had one goal and McDavid's line had the other two? Regardless, I don't see Pod as a top 6 guy over a longer term basis with his lack of finishing skills. If they're breaking up the first line, at least give the second line one of RNH, Hyman or even Skinner. That gives that line another passer or finisher and creates two dangerous scoring lines.

They got the empty netter too.

I think they could try skinner on mcdavid’s line and move rnh down to drai’s line. Podz is working fine right now though in the aggressive forechecker role one drai’s line while drai and arvi seems to be an effective pair offensively.

I don’t mind the line juggling. We’re only ranked 10th in GF right now. A team built around McDrai and this goaltending tandem needs to get more production than that for this team build to work.

A lot of that will come from continued progression of our slow start wingers. But there’s a lot of optimization that can be done throughout the line up and we have the depth to try alot of different combinations.

So if Knob wants to play around to find some extra chemistry throughout the lines, best time to do it now and see if it can sustain into the playoffs.
