No, I'm agreeing with you. That'd be one of the few times I'd ever call something a laser.
I think another issue with that first line is that Step is just isn't dynamic enough a player to center dynamic guys like St.Louis/Nash.
I think Step benefits more from playing with Nash/St.Louis than vice versa.

Obviously, the score is the most important thing, but the Flyers have looked like they've been in damage control mode 99% of this game.
