I have a feeling this will be a game similar to game 2 where there will be a lot of penalties called in the beginning. If so, the Rangers are going to have be disciplined AND if they are SH, they 100% have to kill off the penalties to get the crowd going. If they are on the PP, let's see if CK (if he's in) can create some space for the outside guys.

I'm optimistic as long as the PK is perfect and they play their game.

You know what makes me angry? The fact that Fleury has been the worst goalie in playoffs in years past and we're making him look damn awesome.

Montreal (I said Montreal in 7 over the Boston Bruins and i'm sticking to it!) is going to embarrass the hell out of Fleury

Montreal is playing Pittsburgh in the ECF?

I am glad you have such great faith in your team.

You do know Boston is down in their series 2-1? Same as we are?

You're writing Boston off already too?

Crazy.

What is their game?

Sticking with my predicted L.A. over Bos prediction.

Come back next week and tell me i'm wrong, I won't mind, trust me.

He's probably scratched because he's been our best forward.

AV is saving him for the next pre-season.

Hey man! It's not about the name on the back. It's about the crest on the front!

If Carcillo wants to earn his ice time among the big boys, he has to earn his ice time.

He has to work as hard as players like Rick Nash, and earn his goals!

Rangers win. Need to give us a little more hope before it is finally yanked away and we are knocked out.

yippe

So cliché but the first 10 minutes will tell the story tonight hopefully we see some life from MSL and Nash we would be a whole different team if we got some production from these guys..Also would love to see us crash the net on MAF tonight make him a bit uncompfy...

I still think this team has another level it's amazing we're even where we are with Nash being irrelevant, St. Louis doing nothing, Stepan doing nothin, Kreider out, McDonagh about 30% (hyperbole before I get attacked), Lundqvist on and off, Girardi on and off, Richards on and off, Zucc/Brass on and off.

The only consistent players we've had are Carcillo and Pouliot, both doing their jobs on a night in night out basis (except for Pouliot's two penalties on the PP performance). It's quite remarkable, and if some of those things change, we can get another level to our game.

Since we all love to make stencils based on previous Cup winners, looks like Rangers are following the course:

https://twitter.com/KennyAlbert/status/464102993894580225

2007 Anaheim G/g 2.76 (4th) GA/g 2.14 (3rd)

2011 Boston G/g 3.24 (5th) GA/g 2.12 (1st)

2012 Los Angeles G/g 2.85 (3rd) GA/g 1.50 (1st)

*2014 Rangers G/g 2.20 (15th) GA/g 2.30 (2nd)

I know each playoff year is different. Some years are high scoring, some years are defensive, and some are a mix, so let's look at this years playoffs (Note: I know the playoffs are still underway)

These are the top teams in this years playoffs by P%

Montreal G/g 3.86 (1st) GA/g 2.86 (8th)

Los Angeles G/g 3.56 (2nd) GA/g 2.78 (6th)

Pittsburg G/g 3.11 (5th) GA/g 2.33 (3rd)

Take it for what it's worth. It's just numbers, but I would shove this post right into our "top lines face" if I could. They shouldn't even entertain that this is ok because the other guys turned out fine.

Drill that **** into Fleury for **** sake!

LGR!

I agree completely with this post, I've seen the rangers play at a whole other level than what they have shown so far.... We have seen these players play far better than what they have shown so far.

My only hope is that if Kreider plays this means Nash and MSL will be comfortable on their right sides and that it will give us 4 legitimate lines that can all be threats for different reasons.

I don't know if its fatigue so far this series or what, but the Rangers really have to do a better job of getting around the crease and stop playing around the outside so much....oh yeah, and a functioning powerplay would be good too...

I agree with you as well. I guess I should add Staal/Stralsy for consistent defensive play, although Stralman has been a disaster in the offensive zone.

Hoping Kreider and Carcillo are in the lineup. Won't find out until minutes before the game, but fingers crossed. I like Fast and Miller for the future, but they just didn't look up for the task in Game 3. Kreider and Carcillo should be the two guys here.
