[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

Obviously we’re disappointed with the result but we did a lot of good things today. The only thing we didn’t do is score goals.
Obviously we always try to correct our mistakes but i think if we bring that kind of game, I like our chances. We’ve just got to find a way to put the puck in the net.
- Martin St. Louis

You need everybody in the playoffs. But you need your role players and your finishers and your playmakers to do what their strengths are.
I think that’s what Alain was meaning. The guys that are on the power play and penalty killing have a responsibility to make plays and create things for us.
He’s challenging us and we need more from everybody.
- Ryan McDonagh

We tried real hard. We were forced to play a stupid schedule, five games in seven nights.
Obviously it’s a challenge both physically and mentally. I’m real proud of how our guys handled it, they handled it real well.
We’re down by a game but if we play the same way we did tonight, I think we can have a better outcome on Wednesday.
- Alain Vigneault

Oh so now AV is getting all mad about the schedule too!

If he were a real man like John Tortorella, he would drive to Cold Spring Harbor right now and bust Billy Joel in the chops!

LGR!

Hope Kreider plays. Even a Kreider with only a morning skate with the team under his belt is a better option than miller or fast.

Play him limited 5v5 as AV sees fit and get him on the pp

Need to mix up the lines tonight. If Kreider plays:

Nash-Richards-MSL
Pouliot-Brassard-Zucc
Kreider-Stepan-Hagelin
Boyle-Moore-Dorsett

Or some variation. Maybe switch Hagelin with Nash. Need to get Stepan away from Nash and MSL

Is Fast really playing again? The kid was invisible. Keep Miller in, take out Fast and put Dorsett/Carcillo back in.
I dont think we will know the lineup until puck drop.

I think the one guy that has to stay in is Diaz. Righty shot and i liked his willingness to shoot.

Fast should sit. He couldnt get involved enough in that game. It wasnt enough. If Kreider isnt ready then it should be Miller and Carcillo. If Kreider is ready then it should be Kreider and Carcillo.

Uh...... that is a freakin' understatement:shakehead

Sums it up perfectly.

This is the alarm clock ringing for Rick Nash. I need the Rick Nash that played in Columbus a month or so ago. The guy who got into a fight, crashed the net with reckless abandon, attacked a goaltender for screwing with him, hitting everything, scored a goal (incorrectly taken off the board) and was so jacked up after the win he almost killed his own teammate. I need him to put the team on his back and drag them with him when the offense is tanking. That's his job. Not goals. It's offense.

It would be foolish to scratch Carcillo IMO I hope that's not the case. How awesome would it be to have Kreider play at the level he did in the PO's 2 seasons ago? Keep Girardi off the PP. LGR!!

I couldn't agree more...really with the whole post. I like Diaz...

Fast doesn't belong on this team in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
