The botched offsides did not lead directly to the goal. Pitt still lost a FO, allowed us the rush down the ice, and messed up their defensive coverage on that goal. They need to quit crying.

Right. We probably don't score the goal without it, but they realized they made a mistake and put the faceoff in our zone. It was a break but Pittsburgh was in our zone anyway.

Yeah, but in fairness, none of those things happen if there is no faceoff because of the offsides. Logic says:

Botched offsides -> Faceoff -> Penguins miscues -> Rangers goal.

Therefore Botched offsides -> Rangers goal

The opening PP is crucial. I understand we're up 2-0 but there's a lot of time and the Pens have a lot of skill. We have to score on the PP or we're going to see Pitt start flying with momentum, IMO. Overall, the Rangers just need to keep up with the high-paced forechecking. The Penguins can't control the puck.
