McNabb/Pardy over Sulzer/Brennan?

I don't think Sekera is on the IR? He was a scratch last night. Correct me if I'm wrong, but players on the IR do not need to be scratched?
My bad, he's not on IR and I've written it enough in GDTs to remember that. Even I err.
My point still holds true that I'd waive Brennan though.

As for Brennan, I'd do it. Waive him, bring Pardy up and give him a shot with Myers. Sulzer... I'd rather keep him around, but I'd still love to give McNabb a go too. I really liked what I saw from him last year. Trade Leo, should have some trade value for a contender.

Myers - Pardy
Ehrhoff - Sulzer
Regehr - McNabb

Until Sekera gets back.

Weber just doesn't get enough respect around here. People he has been one of the best D players so far this year. When he has a bad game they say ship him out for a guy like BM.

Am I missing something here, who can be a perfect fit for Myers?

I think TM should worry about himself being a fit for Myers. He is one of the poorest playing D on this current roster and has been that way for more than 2 years now.

Hopefully a steady, mistake free top 4 forward would be the perfect fit. Honestly, Myers hasn't been horrible when paired with RR this season.

and lol @ how fast this board changes..... like 4 games ago people were yelling that Sulzer was being scratched and now we talking about him needing to be waived...

I think you're missing the context between Sulzer being scratched while others were making bigger blunders and worth. He's a 6/7 who wasn't playing as badly as Myers and Leopold were.

McNabb likely gets rotated in as jfb pointed out. The Sabres have trade assets for this coming deadline in both Leopold and Regehr and with teams looking for vet defensive depth, they should get some quality return there. With them likely gone, they will need someone to play -- McNabb and Pysyk probably get some sort of look.

Sure, I like Weber, but he's been stuck as a 7th/8th D-man for a few years now. I didn't forget about him, just didn't put him in the starting lineup. Why isn't he playing, anyway?

Adam Pardy is the PERFECT complement to Tyler Myers, and once we finally do leave Leopold at a gas station outside St. Catherines or something, he should be recalled and immediately tethered to Myers hip w/ a 60 ft steel cable for no less than the next 7 years.

Well, I think Sekera would be the best partner for Myers from guys on our current roster, but Pardy and Myers looked fine in their small sample size together. I wouldn't be opposed to them together but I've been clamoring for Sekera-Myers for quite some time.

Sounds like Sekera could be back tomorrow.

His best isn't that good though. If he's playing 12 minutes like Rolston had him do yesterday, then he's fine. He's a 6th defensemen at best, ideally he's your 7th/8th.
