I disagree on the violence not being the answer, well, actually you’re right. Is isn’t the answer. But I do think vengeance is fine to a degree. It’s kind of why I’m against the death penalty as it currently exists, though not against the concept of a death penalty. I’m probably treading political talk though.

That said, I certainly respect the opinion that it’s not right. I won’t argue against anyone who believes violence is not the answer.

But I am admittedly vengeful to a degree. Certainly not over petty things though.

I wouldn’t feel an ounce bad for any of these guys if they were beaten up pretty badly. That much I can say.

Like I said I can understand the emotional appeal. But as a society we’ve chosen to save violence for only the most extreme murder cases. There will never be real justice for the victim anyway. Retribution doesn’t undo the trauma and the perpetual reliving of the experience while this goes on.

Some people shouldn't be allowed to participate in polite society...

Violence is stupid as it just perpetuates more violence... Discrete removal from society is much more palatable and civil.

ngl, I wouldn't either but those types of things only happen in movies.

IRL, he's just going to go to court and if he escapes Jail-time, he'll still not be welcomed back to the NHL (at least not by any team).

The best punishment for him is to never be able to play in the NHL ever again. (Ideally, for him never to play Professional Hockey again but that's not likely)
