So many things I disagree with that I’m not sure where to start. But I respect most of the work they put out and it’s just a list, like any other, at the end of the day. I do think Demidov and Leonard are a good start but it goes off the rails for me before it even exits the top 10, and then just gets more confusing, for me.

Catton #5 and Cristall nowhere to be found? LOL

Iginla #13 after not playing for most of the year?

Crystall could have a ppg of 4.0 and still wouldn't make this list. Points are definitely not everything but at some point you have to give guys who're producing credit.

Sure he could end up like Kaliyev but there's a much higher chance he becomes a legit top six forward.

He is way better than kaliyev not even close for Cristall there a reasonable comparison might be a guy like Jason Robertson. Robertson has shitty skating and wasn’t overly physical in junior but consistently put up the points. Same can be said for Cristall.

It’s kinda funny they always make a thing about skating and athletic abilities but look at Gretzky. Scouts are pretty funny sometimes. I remember years ago there was these 2 brothers- the foudys and they were supposed to be really good in the NHL because they were so athletic and I don’t even know if they made it. Never produced that much in junior which to me would be a big red flag but oh no the scouts loved them.

Lol at Joshua Roy even being on the list, and I say this as a Habs fan. The guy is done, on a bullet train to Bustville. He’s looks like a career minor leaguer or future European league pro to me. But he was a 5th rounder, so it’s not at all unexpected.

Outside the first few names on these types of lists I mostly see it as a blob of names with guys who have a good chance of being top 6/top 4, but who will actually be the best is difficult to say. When these players retire, there careers ranked will probably be way different than these types of lists

Cristall doesn't project as clearly as many other prospects though.

He might be one of those super junior players but find the NHL a "too big of a step" and I can get get that watching him play.

Catton and Iginla both project better and clearly as well.

Interesting list and any list like this will be problematic as no one knows and development is just so hard to predict.

Size skating and a higher floor?

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if Pickering had the best career out of the 3.
Idk I like him well enough but his ceiling looks like #4 defensive defenseman and both Koivunen and McGroarty were better in the AHL and NHL this year. Koivunen by like, a lot.

Would think Eiserman would be higher after his rookie NCAA season and WJ he had.
He still has that hit and miss label attached to him a bit and we will see, many of the top sniper/shooter type prospects over the years simply don't pan out to their ceilings.

I'm actually surprised Lekk for the Canucks is 9th as he needs more strength and a bit more quickness but I'm hope full as a Canucks fan.

For my team:

Roy and Mailloux doesn't belong on this top50 list.

Reinbacher should a little higher on the list but maybe it's because of his injury this year.
