There's like 5 forwards in the whole history of the game you can compare peak to peak with Mcdavid , Lindros is certainly not one of them
I was really surprised when i voted that it was only 69-15 for McDavid, have those 15 people not watched McDavid play? Some may be tempted to go with Lindros since McDavid had a rough last couple of games in the SCF, but Lindros was effectively shut down in the '97 Cup Final by Detroit, so there's that.
McDavid is simply better. Lindros never won an Art Ross. McDavid has five. Lindros was more physically dominant (obviously), but he wasn't a better player.
And after that he only has 2 other top 10 scoring finishes of 6th and 6th.Lindros came damn close to winning the Art Ross in 94-95 though. Just lost out on the tiebreaker of goals scored.
GP G A PTS Jagr 48 32 38 70 Lindros 46 29 41 70
Completely agree with you guys, McDavid peak is another level compared to Lindros peak. I think peak Jagr, Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, or Kucherov would be a tad closer, but McDavid should still probably come out ahead. And after that he only has 2 other top 10 scoring finishes of 6th and 6th.
And before people saying well he was injured, Lindros only has 5 top 5 PPG finishes (3,1,3 in his best 3 year peak) compared to McDavid who has 8 times finished top 3 in points, winning the art Ross 5 times including 3 straight in his peak.
McDavid could be soft as butter, as Lindros brough more than McDavid aside form points, but the offensive difference is just too great here.
