McDavid by a bit.

Lindros was way more than his stats show, but he's still not quite McDavid. Peak Lindros was closer to current Mackinnon. Maybe in between those 2.

Two radically different players. It's like comparing Gretzky (McDavid, sniper/playmaker) versus Mario (Lindros, physically dominant/skill).

If we are talking peak, I'll go Lindros.

Some may be tempted to go with Lindros since McDavid had a rough last couple of games in the SCF, but Lindros was effectively shut down in the '97 Cup Final by Detroit, so there's that.

McDavid is simply better. Lindros never won an Art Ross. McDavid has five. Lindros was more physically dominant (obviously), but he wasn't a better player.

Different types of players in a different era of how the game was played and officiated. Lindros would get killed in this era, like he did carrying the puck during his. And McDavid would need to change how he plays to survive in the Lindros era.

I’m the biggest Lindros fan on earth. And I’d place them close. But McDavid despite having an ego is much more of a team player than Lindros. This makes a difference. Lindros struggled to win. Mcdavid is much more skilled, as well. But Lindros had a physical game that was 11/10 much like McDavid’s speed. So that shouldn’t be undervalued. But McDavid will go down as a top-5 er and Lindros might not be a top-20 er. Would have been fun to see a career without injuries. But this one is clearly McDavid. Either career or peak. IMHO.

The next one looked very promising but never got the hardware he deserved thanks to concussions.

Bure and Lindros shouldve lasted longer
