Myers already showed the ECHLer already on their roster.Curious to know if the Oilers will call up some ECHL goons to 'explain" to the canSucks what happens when you want to play silly games on the ice
Edmonton has an older and softer roster, the only likely outcome is Nurse doing something stupid and getting penalized for it. The worst they can do is beat Vancouver on the scoreboard, which is fairly irrelevantCurious to know if the Oilers will call up some ECHL goons to 'explain" to the canSucks what happens when you want to play silly games on the ice
right? canucks are a non-factor now, enjoy the win fellasEdmonton has an older and softer roster, the only likely outcome is Nurse doing something stupid and getting penalized for it. The worst they can do is beat Vancouver on the scoreboard, which is fairly irrelevant
that's exactly right. They don't see it, but they expect everything to go His way.Right, exactly. It happens to everybody across the league. McDavid isn't treated any differently. The crux of the issue for Oilers fans is exactly that he isn't treated any differently.
People care because there's a generational player on the Oilers. They do care though. Look at how much attention the Oilers get on the mains compared to other teams. Funny how this is allowed to stay open but the Myers thread locked.
mcdavid is probably the most protected player in the league, which is why he does shit like this because he's been able to get away with it. he constantly starts stuff and then hides behind the refs because it's a bad look if the best player in the league gets dummied in a scrum. it's actually pathetic to see. you don't even need to look far to find other dirty stuff he does, just look at his recent elbow on noted goon marcus johansson. The whole point is officiating is unreliable anyway. A player like Connor McDavid has no assurances he will be protected in game by the officiating, and as a target of team strategy, he's going to eat a lot of abuse night after night. We've seen so many superstars ruined in this game by those dynamics.
So if it's rules of the jungle, it's better for a targeted superstar to keep opponents around him honest by being dangerous to be around. Buys you space and safety.
And mustard?Next time just spray McDavid with a bottle of ketchup
You’re a saint among mere mortals
Yeah, any decent forward who plays with the puck on their stick gets held, slashed, hooked, and so on, every night. He doesn’t have to fight through nearly as much as people act like he does. Nothing more than the average player.
Even the ones that aren’t decent do, they just don’t get the limelight like the rest.Yeah, any decent forward who plays with the puck on their stick gets held, slashed, hooked, and so on, every night.
The decent, and not so decent, players gets less attention and marking than the stars of the game, but the equal amount of slashes, holds, grand and other infractions?Even the ones that aren’t decent do, they just don’t get the limelight like the rest.
If you can’t outmuscle a 5’ 7” human… that’s concerning. McDavid knew what he was doing by staying on top of Garland. Perfectly negating a defender.
Scrappy pest that just showed the entire league how to deal with McDavidAlways liked Garland’s game and he got the best of McDavid there.
