Nice narrative... Garland could've been given 3 different penalties there.
McDavid crosscheck was heat of moment after being held down.
Myers crosscheck was cold blooded intent to injure.

Watch the full play, McDavid interfered first. The cross-check was not some millisecond after the play heat of the moment thing. It was a premeditated bitch move, period. It's on video. You're free to watch it.

Soucy’s was also mostly due to Zadorov cross checking McDavid from behind. Less intentional than this

They run into each other, McDavid ends up on top, he is trying to get up but Garland is holding him down. Can’t see it from the one angle but you can from others.

Use some common sense man. Bouchard was doing the same shit to Pettersson on the other end which let the Oilers break out 5 on 4 legit right before that.

They let that go. They then let the Garland thing go. That’s a wash.

That wasn’t even close to the same. First of all the puck was there and he held him till it wasn’t. Garland was on him for an extra 10 seconds after the puck was gone. Oilers had two shot attempts while this was going on.

Well that one is suspendable, no doubt. McDavid isn't dirty but sometimes star players will have a handful of moments where they cross a line over the course of their career, it is what it is.

Watch the footage. Garland had McDavids arm underneath him, and he was holding onto it. Even gnomes are hard to shake off when they are holding someone down with their body weight.

In this game McDavid has simulated interference to draw a penalty, blatantly jabbed Hronek in the face with no call, and now this.
If he escapes suspension here there should be an inquest. Absolutely brutal bias by the league because they don't want to suspend their most marketable player.

It's certainly closer and a much better comparable. The biggest difference is that Dahlin is 6'3 and Garland is like 5'3. I liked the feistiness from Matthews.
