so...given 6-10 names, 1-5 must be:

Kempe, Amadio, Brodzinski, Ladue and Clague?

let's also make this a guessing of the order thread.

1. Brodzinski (just excelling and surpassing all..hat trick last night too)
2. Ladue (mainly because MM loves him and he is now legit top prospect as well)
3. Kempe (still has much promise and starting to put up points)
4. Amadio (doing rather well, first pro season)
5. Clague (playing well and played Team Canada WJC and did well)

I wouldn't be surprised if MM put Ladue #1.

1 Ladue most ready player and was close to making it last sept
2 Brodzinski Most ready forward right now
3 Kempe starting to get it together still needs work defensively
4 Amadio I think he may get a call up before everyone
5 Clague just getting started on the list good spot to debut

The good news is they do get good feedback from people in the organization, which gives their articles credence.

But I personally don't trust their own analysis of players. At least not from a couple of their contributors.

Both true.

I recall when Rob Blake was speaking about Brayden McNabb, right after the deal that brought him here. "we identified McNabb as the best defenseman, not playing in the NHL". ??? I am sure there were probably 50 better defensemen than Brayden McNabb - worldwide, not playing in the NHL at that time

You don't trust a couple of the MM contributors, or the Kings?

A couple MM contributors. I had a bad time when I contributed there. And one in particular just struck me as a bit dishonest. Plus when I wouldn't promote articles on LGK I just sort of got tossed aside and ignored.

Sorry to hear that, King'sPawn. I respect your opinion and with hockeysfuture no longer doing rankings and Jason Lewis no longer posting, we're not getting many prospect rankings. Any differences in how you would rank the top 10?

Thanks PJ. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate when they bring information. That's why I agreed to write when I was approached. But the analysis is just not there.

I haven't watched as much hockey this year. Some health issues, family issues, school and a divorce made things nearly impossible for me to enjoy hockey. But my rankings are:

1. Mike Amadio
2. Adrian Kempe
3. Kale Clague
4. Paul LaDue
5. Michael Mersch
6. Erik Cernak
7. Jonny Brodzinski
8. Auston Wagner
9. Chaz Reddekopp
10. Justin Auger

I'll write an extended post later detailing my opinions. But of course keep in mind a lot of this is with much fewer viewings than in the past.

Mine would be:

Jonny Brodzinski
Paul Ladue
Mike Amadio
Kempe
Mersch

For top Five.

Based on the AHL games I have watched all this season.

Brodzinski has always been one of the most underrated prospects who didn't get enough credit. Take this thread discussion from 2014 as an example.

Some people had Ebert ahead of him at that point. Yikes!

People have different views at different time You certainly can see that brod has improved a lot since that post. Players can regress as well but to call people out for there opinions like that is wrong imo All lists are debatable and subject to opinion Then again i guess you have your own right to your opinion as well so go ahead and judge people for theres if u choose. All i know is it seems petty to me.

Hoping Kempe is one of those guys that will flourish when placed with the right guys at the NHL level. He looked a lot more dangerous in the preseason games I saw than the ones I've seen in Ontario, I think a quick, faster paced game suits his style more. I'd like to see him brought up for a short period just so he can see the day-in day-out things pros do later in the season to maintain their strength and effort. I think he could be a Glen Murray type if he pans out.

I don't think you have a grasp on the purpose of discussion forums.

I'm honestly still not very high on Brodzinski. But I've been too distracted with tons of other things to sit down and explain myself. I hope to do so soon to keep the discussion going.

We all look forward to it, King'sPawn. You're a gem of poster. A true asset for our board :)
