There will be riots in Riga, if they don't win this one, and I'm only half-joking when I say that.

We have played well in previous WCh against austrians - 4 victories and 2 losses, goals - 21:15. This is a 50/50 game. It seems, that our players are waiting that puck will jump in the net for itself, but Austrians haven't scored last two games.

Shots on goal - LAT 84 in 5 GP (2nd worst); AUT - 77 in 4 GP (the worst);
PK - LAT 66,67% (2nd worst in tournament); AUT 94,44%;
PP - LAT 16,67%; AUT 0%;

GK Starkbaum (93.75%, GAA 2.18) in Austrian net is a big argument against Latvians for a victory.

If I am not mistaken, even 3pts in this game guarantees nothing for LV team in terms of not getting relegated.

So this just underlines... please win..

But seriously, we're looking like a Division I team in this game. I'm looking back on our previous encounters with Austrian NT with certain nostalgia. That team is missing in action...

Our passes get intercepted too often, and they're not even learning from it. M.Redlihs looks so frantic with puck. It's like he's completely lost his skills.

We looked like a Division I team in the 1st period. If they continue playing like this, I honestly won't even be upset if we end up last in our group, we've earned it.
