Have you ever seen that much sloppy passes?
Go home Russia this is painful to watch

Maybe they drinking good Czech beer every evening too much? sleepy flies... ah, better will spend my free time on walking outside boring to watch this

Kovalchuk should just retire, Malkin should go home and heal, Tarasenko should get down from the clouds, defensemen should go to VHL, Panarin-Shipachyov-Dadonov are beasts.

Honestly, Kovalchuk must have the lowest hockey sense/skillset ratio of any major player ever.

Dadonov with another goal - 8 pts.
Chicago should have signed him along with Panarin

The only positive from this game was that the SKA line keep playing very good and that the Malkin line look much better
Of 60 min of play and think the russian got to another gear of a total of 43 Seconds...

This team have big issues to solve ..

Glad Tarasenkov scored a goal

Other than that this was so BAD....

Kovalchuk hurts the team more than he helps. He is so selfish and individualistic that he tries to force his own shot rather than make a pass to an open teammate. I agree, the team would be better off with someone who will work hard and play a team game!

I get it..emotions talking here cause you can't be serious...Kovalchuk when on point is one of the best in the game..maybe he's not what he used to be, but he's still awesome....as a Canadian fan..2008 when Kovalchuk tookover is still pretty fresh in my mind

Less than impressive win, to say the least. Signifying the play was when, in the 3rd period, Shirokov brings the puck from behind, passes it right to the tape of the Danish player, and then screens Bobrovsky so that the goal goes in. So many really dumb plays! Belarus will go into the next game convinced that they can win.

Three points do not smell. Two days of rest, then play vs. Belarus.
Denmark team good luck at the rest of the way and I'm glad that will see debute Bjorkstrand in the NT(game vs. USA) in front of TV.

It's not 2008 anymore though. He's not getting any younger.

Fair enough...but to suggest he has the lowest hockey sense/skillset ratio of any major player ever...come on now...I would say he's still probably one of the most skilled players on the Russian team

I believe you're missing the poster's point.

He/she is saying that much of what Kovalchuk accomplishes is because of his inhuman skill level, and that his hockey sense is not nearly up to those same lofty standards. If Kovalchuk's hockey sense was >= his physical talent, you'd be looking at one of the greatest hockey players of all time.

That's the way I interpreted it. That also makes sense, seeing as Kovalchuk's brain hasn't matched his sheer physical talent in the past IMO.
