Yes. At your average WC we'd maybe loose 6:1 or something against Canada but this year their roster is much stronger than usually and ours is missing 10 regulars or so.

Were not gonna see alot of smaller nation upsets this WC IMO.

Good teams look stronger, and weaker teams are missing alot of key players, like Germany with 10 and Denmark with 11 missing regulars.
While the better teams are looking somewhat stacked.

Everybody expected this to be a blowout but the German compete level is still embarrassing. I expected us to grind and hook ourselves into penalty trouble, and then get killed by the Canadian PP. But the German players are either totally star struck or mentally checked out after the 0-2 because they're not even trying anywhere on the ice.

Well I know Denmark are missing at least Mikkel Boedker, Frans Nielsen, Frederik Andersen, Lars Eller, Jannik Hansen, Nicklas Jensen, Peter Regin, Philip Larsen, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Nikolaj Ehlers, Stefan Lassen, and at least 1 more who would be definite locks.

That's alot. I know Germany are in a similar situation.

I agree. But according to several websites, all the KHL games played at the 02 has been on 60x26 rink size (meters).

Weird if they can adjust size like that overnight.
