So, guys I'm putting my money on the U.S. on this one. Hope it pans out as expected. Johnny Hockey pots a couple and Thomas shuts the door. And we have a win here. Sounds simple. Easy money.

Go UsA Go!

E: I this a wrong thread. Probably.

As an FYI, NBCSN is airing this at 9:30 on a 30 minute tape delay due the Monaco Grand Prix practices tomorrow. They are streaming it live (with the other Quarterfinals) however.

Pretty even match up. USA have looked better in the round robin though, and should perhaps be able to get to the semis. Not too often they do that at the worlds?

Martin Růžička has been added to the last empty spot on the Czech roster (link), according to the coach (no relation) he may play in Vondrka's place, though it is not decided yet.

Exactly the reason for me the Czechs are a slight favorite. They always rise their level of play in elimination games. USA though, have had no success in many years.

My guess would be OT, then its up in the air who wins it.

Johnny hockey shows up when the games matter most.

Expect another jaw-dropping performance from him today.

It will be interesting to see if he can do it against better competition as the US will need that secondary scoring if they want to win.

oh god and here we go again.. ridiculous refereeing

/ of course 1-0 USA thank you very much

I'm assuming the call on Sobotka was for dumping Murphy into the USA net? I only caught the tail end of that replay and didn't bother to rewind. On the PP, Smith won a draw back to Jones who swung it across to Mueller for the one-timer. Nelson deflected that point shot to make it 1-0. However, Rolinek potted a rebound to tie it, 1-1.

Brock Nelson.. da **** was that

edit: Refs have been fine, people will complain about anything
