Canada will be heavy favourites for this one. Finland have not impressed. But they still have a good chance of course, Finland have come up with upsets before, and can now play with pretty low expectations.

I'm still predicting a Canadian victory here. "D-team" Canada or not I think they got a good mix of youth and grit on their team, and I doubt they want to go home today already.

I know Finland has played poorly at this tournament but I really really wish Canada was playing Belarus instead.

FIN lineup confirmed otherwise the same as projection, save for J.Sallinen being 13th forward instead of Savinainen.

Tremble before our might, Canadians.

I really wish we didn't have to play Finland. This team Canada is very young and Finland is dangerous in these tournaments. I know it's not a great Finland squad but they do have the best goalie in the tournament when he's playing well and they have some dangerous guys who can make plays. Jokinen is a proven star, Komarov impressed me a lot at the Olympics and I think Lehterä is a very good young player as well.

I feel another quarter final bus stop coming up.

1 - 0 Finland
Rinne plays like a god and Haula scores on a breakaway

Finland has always played Canada tough. Canada probably still wins but it'll be closer than what it should be.

90-10 in favour of Canada imo

That is just disrespecting the Finns team. Everyone talks about NHL players like their miles ahead of all these players from other leagues, but I really think in a short tournament like this, team chemistry (the fact that these guys have played together a lot), team strategy - which Finland normally employs masterfully and a goalie who can easily steal a game in a 1 game elimination is being downplayed big time. Yes Canada is still favoured to win..but no way its 90 to 10..more like 65-35. Fact is Canada inspite of having a solid offence if they run into a hot goalie, their done...cause guaranteed Finns will get tons of scoring chances
