There are a ton of guys in the NHL solely because they can skate that really shouldn't be.

Disagree (and I know we'll never agree on this), but if that's your take, then contract the league. Because the answer shouldn't be to replace the grinders with guys who can't skate, floaters, and a legion of poor man's Athanasious. No thanks to a pro-level QMJHL.
