Anyone have a gif of Gaudreau's goal? He was awesome today.

I had felt Petry was quietly having a solid tournament but he was horrible today. He made major mistakes on three of the German goals.

Kevin Hayes needs to make decisions quicker and realize that what worked in college won't work here (and certainly not in the NHL). Gaudreau had a few of those moments early in the tournament but he adjusted very quickly while Hayes still hasn't figured it out.

Also, Brock Nelson might be putting up points but he really hasn't been playing smart. He's had some brutal turnovers both today and in earlier games. I think he's benefiting more from the solid work of guys like Smith, Johnson and Jones than the other way around.

I felt the same way about Nelson. An Islander friend of mine was talking to me on twitter about how awesome he was doing, but I felt it was more a case of being a passenger on the line with Smith and Johnson.

He was 5'5, 140 pounts his draft year... so I can understand why teams would pass on him. However, he's exactly what you would call a diamond in the rough.
