Given the presence of Anze Kopitar, I think the chances of seeing Slovenia relegated are quite slim.
 I'm sure most average NHL fans share your opinion, as Kopitar is the only player they know among these 2 teams.

Slovenia is the worst team in their group with or without Kopitar.

I think Belarus should win this match. Don't know what to expect from Kopitar and Mursak tho.

The defense is gonna kill Belarus. Korobov suppose to be #1 but he looks more nervous than 20 years old Lisovets.
Russian announcers said that Dave Lewis is of Ukrainian descent, didn't know it.

Given the presence of Anze Kopitar, I think the chances of seeing Slovenia relegated are quite slim.

Last time Kopitar played at the World Championships, in 2008, Slovenia still got relegated. It takes more than just one player at this level to make a difference.

Belarus team "B" dominates this game. Slovenia had two scoring chances and both on breakaways. Possession time is like 80% to 20% in favor of Belarus.
Yevenko is horrifying Slovenians.
And now it hits the post... Should have been 4:1.

Awful performance by both teams. Our team showed up for the third and that was it.:help:

Belarusians had 5 guys standing at their blue line in the 3rd.

Lewis likes 19 years old Ustinenko, the kid has played a lot in the 3rd period when the game was on the line.

Pretty sad that a hockey nation like belarus has to rely on imports.

Rely on imports? Belarus is missing 10 homegrown players like Grabovski, Hrabarenka, Koltsov, Denisov... They used only ONE imported player, a goalie. Lalande was a 3rd string goalie at the last WC in Minsk, he played only because Koval and Mezin got injured during the tournament. They've also got another 2 goalies who were starters in the KHL last season. Would you have felt better if Koval, Goryachevskih, Milchakov or Brikun played today? That excuse is just pity.
