On paper Russia should win but these games always seem to have a lot of upsets. I could see USA greasing out a win. Odds makers have USA as a 3.8 underdog.

Wrong flag on Tobias there... Need a Swiss one...

I think the American fans would be a little upset with a Russian ref

any links to game besides the NBCSN one? I don't have info to sign up for the service.

Referee has been bought already. Nothing to see here. Move along!

Smart move to split up the NHL talent for Russia. Though a line of Ovechkin-Malkin-Tarasenko would be insane.

Russia has a 50 goal scorer in their every line which is just sick. (Vlad is a future one, and ~40 isnt also bad.)

Quick question - how many of the forwards and defenseman would play on Russia's best team?

Ovechkin, Malkin, Tarasenko, Kovalchuk...Panarin?...Anisimov?

Not too familiar with most of the others.

Hard to say.

If we are talking about the best players at the moment, than Russia is probably only Missing Datsyuk, Radulov, Kuznetsov perhaps Zaripov (it seems Znarok likes him a lot).

On defense, they are missing probably their best ones: Voynov, Markov, Tyutin, Medvedev(IMO, he is one of the best).

And I don't know a lot about this year KHL candidates. Last year they had guys like Kutuzov and Zubarev.

It depends a lot for KHL guys, did they had a good season, and a good showing for a NT team in EuroTour games.

should be an easy win for Russia.

Russia should have easily beat the Finns in Sochi, too.

The US' strength is on their blueline, whereas Russia's weakness is on their blueline. This game will come down to how effectively the Americans can get the puck in deep on the Russians and run their Def into the ground.
