When Sweden scored that 3-3 goal I really thought we would go total ape ***** and make the night for Bobrovsky a living hell, but then Malkin scored with help from OEL's skate....

Markstrom is in playoffs and there weren't too many other options I'd imagine, maybe Lack refused, I don't know why he wasn't selected.

If that would be your A-team, then we should sue you for sabotaging the tournament. A special LOL at Johansson, Silfverberg and Hörnqvist. And I hope you know Hedman wasn't on yout A-team in Sochi. And one can argue about defencemen a lot. Sweden does a have a ton but I would take a lot of D-men from your "B-team" easily over what you call the "A-team", especially going forward, i.e. for the World Cup in 2016 as I stated and even more so for the 2018 Olympics. Also Loui and Linholm are A-team by all means.

So of course i wasn't your top-team to ice, but not a C-team either.

And Russia's team is not better on paper while having an edge on forwards, but that's it. I don't even know how Russia pulled this off with a defence that bad and that depleted by injuries.

Johansson was in the 2014 team and has good chemistry with Backström.

Silverberg was also in the 2014 team and is having an awesome playoffs.

Hörnqvist is a 40 point gritty guy that is great infront of net.

Hedman was not in the 2014 team, but he should have been.

Lindholm is not good enough yet. His time will be 2018 olympics. With your logic, Burmistrov should play in world cup for russia.

Malkin looks like he should have gotten the primary assist on the goal. But no points added for Malkin as of yet. He should have 4 points for this game, but has only 3 on IIHF website this evening.

they probably decided to award Tarasenko an automatic goal because of the foul by the defender, which is particularly stupid considering Tarasenko was still able to put the puck in the net on his own.

So Malkin should definitely have 4 pts on the night, but I doubt he will ever get awarded the 2nd assist.
