Good game. Down 3-0 I feared the worst but the guys picked themselves up. Good luck USA the rest of the tournament.

USA plays Swizerland in the QF. A very winnable game.

Imagine a Canada vs USA final!

let's face it man ... Team Canada would be a clear Stanley Cup favorite with this years roster. It's maybe the most superior roster i have seen since the USSR doesn't participate anymore ... I read this here so many times, the hope for a NA final. I see nothing exciting about that ...It's not that the US has the 96 World Cup of Hockey roster on the ice.

Canada is gonna crush every opponent (especially the shaky us d) like we haven't seen the last 25 years

Yea, but they'd be a tad bit over the salary cap.

I'm sure someone said something like this about the Soviets in 1980.

Tbh i think Russia have a really good chans to beat Canada... since their D and goalkeeping seems not so good.

Amen brothers. I hope so ... Still (and i must admit i haven't seen the game against France, but the Sweden one, Swiss and Germany) they are almost undefendebale so I don't see the goalie issues to be toooo decisive.

Let's see ...

And? they havent play against Russia with players like Malkin, kovalchuk etc... and their game against Sweden wasent that impressive tbh... if you have see Sweden against Russia pre tournament and Sweden vs Czech first game.

How was Helle??.. I missed the game but saw 4 goals against... his fault or were there just some let downs from his teammates

He was ok. None of the goals were his fault, although he wasn't tested a ton outside of the 2nd period collapse. Of the goals allowed, two were flukes: Nelson deflected an easy shot up and over Helle for a goal and another hit Reilly in front on a shot that was going wide but instead fell to Helle's left for an uncovered Slovak tap-in. The other two were Gaborik on a nice PP redirection and a breakaway.

When did Milan Bartovič turn into Gáborík? :amazed:
