Latvians, who's starting for you? Masalskis or Gudlevskis?

Nolan didn't want to say yesterday, and nothing has been announced yet this morning.

Forward lines should be:

Ņiživijs Vasiljevs Cipulis
M. Rēdlihs Daugaviņš Ķēniņš
Girgensons Meija Indrašis (Meija still a ?, could be Lipsbergs - who is incorrectly posted as a d-man in the OP)
Džeriņš Štāls Bērziņš

That's more or less correct, except the Vasiļjevs line is the 2nd line and Girgensons will center the 3rd line. Meija is a winger and hopefully he won't play today. Lipsbergs was better in exhibition games.

Also, Štāls usually plays wing, while Džeriņš and Bērziņš are Cs.

And Rēdlihs is RW, Ķēniņš is LW.

Considering the match against Germany is more important and starts about 18 hours after the end of the Latvia-Finland game, I would guess that Masaļskis will start today so that Gudļevskis could be fresher tomorrow.

Also, if Masaļskis has a bad game, he will probably drop down the pecking order and Punnenovs will probably get to play instead of him, as he has been very solid in NLA and in exhibition games with Latvia.

Yeah, I was just posting them as written in an article I read, not taking positions into consideration. Besides, Coolen had alluded to using Girgs on the side the other week.

BTW, Masalskis was just confirmed as the starter against Finland. Koba Jass and Bērziņš are scratches, so I guess either Meija or Lipsbergs are in on that fourth line (hopefully Meija, with Lipsbergs up on the third with the other kids).

Hoping for a close match, but I'm afraid our D isn't solid enough to actually expect anything more than a loss by 1 or 2 goals.

A big day for Roberts Lipsbergs (19 yo) and Janis Jaks (18 yo) in their 1st official game with the national team.

Expecting Lipsbergs to surprise a lot of people in a very positive way during the course of the tournament. :)
