He has a stand-out season in the KHL, big and fast winger who is second in scoring on Lokomotiv Yaroslav,

What do you think the potential is?
Should we sign him?
I would sign him in a heart beat but there are questions whether he wants to come over.

I've been high on him ever since we drafted him. He's done nothing but improve since. Not signing him would be a big mistake especially for a team that lacks prospect depth like we do.

I don't know if he'd come over, and if he did whether he would have the maturity to put in work on the farm or just bolt back to Russia. That being said, someone in the organization should have been going over to see him, check in on his development, let him know he's on the radar at the very least. But as per usual, there has been zero interaction between the prospect and the team. Where is the proper, professional followup? At the very least, it's simply due diligence to be following up with the guy. These clowns in front office, man...

It seems obvious that we had no clue what we had in Kesselring and Holloway. So much ineptitude in the organization.

You're not wrong, but there's also the reality that this is a bit of a pressure cooker environment that isn't necessarily a great place for a guy to find his footing if there's an expectation to get NHL minutes right out of the gate.

Do you actually have proof of this?

Yes, he said in an interview late in the year with Russian media that the Oilers “write” (text) him sometimes but have never been to see or meet with him. Complete nonsense as usual from this org.
