Having a solid year on the Hawks, I think he would be a sneaky good addition for any contender given the arms race in the east so far with NYR getting Tarasenko, NYI getting Horvat and Toronto getting ROR I wonder if Domi ends up as an under rated but very smart add for either Tampa or Boston

New Born Citizen Erased
not sure what last year has to do with right now.
He's played with no pressure on him this year since his team sucks, once he gets moved to a team that's in the race and pressure will be applied to him, he'll fold like he did in Carolina last season. He's a mentally weak player and teams don't win with him in the lineup. Whoever trades for him is a fool and will have buyers remorse.

his best season was in Montreal, not exactly a no pressure market

Not sure what four years ago has to do with right now

you brought up pressure he's already played in one of the two most pressure packed markets in the NHL I mesan if you insist on brining up last year then saying he can't handle pressure is odd because he thrived in one of the top 2 pressure packed markets in the league

I’d be ok with the wild trying him between Zucc and Kap as well but wouldn’t want to pay much

Ask Carolina if he was a smart add last season, dude is too inconsistent to be worth anymore than the former 3rd round prospect he got last year

What exactly did you think happened in Carolina last year?

They made a minimal investment and put him on their 4th line, where he stayed pretty much the entire time and through the playoffs. And in that span he had the highest per minute scoring rate on the Canes and they outscored opponents by something like 4-1 with Domi on the ice.

Basically, what the hell are you talking about?

Rangers have been one of the hottest teams since Dec 4th. Fans are acting like this trade for Tarasenko just pushed them into a new level. Don't make a move just because we did. The move we made has nothing to do with you competing. Those teams were already competing just fine without making a move. Make a move because you think there's a fit, not because NYR just made a move.

The bolded is just twisting numbers to paint the picture you want to paint.

Ask Hurricane fans, outside of the game 7 against the Bruins he sucked.

He’s not a very reliable or positively impactful player, I’d be shocked if a contending team wanted him

To add to this, when the Habs were in the play-in he wasn't very useful at all.

On-ice results are the first thing I look at for any player. Usually when a player is "horrible" they get objectively bad results, and instead he had objectively great results.

I'm not saying he's that good or ought to be treated like a top asset. He's softer than most people think. But he's a guy that generates offense on any line you put him on. Not a bad player.

He would probably be decent on the Leafs because of circumstance, but I don't see him moving the needle for other teams.

He was legit horrible that year and most of the following season in Columbus.

Then went right back to producing offense despite never getting off the 4th line. Weird player.

The Leafs bottom six had how many goals last playoffs?

I think fewer than Domi scored by himself on the Canes 4th line.

Teams absolutely make moves in response to what other teams do especially this time of year.

Tampa knows they are VERY likely playing Toronto If you don't think they are going to make a move in response to the Leafs getting ROR and Acciari you are mistaken, it will be harder for them because they don't have their 1st but It's coming It's what teams do this time of year

I'm not saying he's going to be a world beater.

His father and familiarity with the city, would probably be motivator for him. I could see him maybe helping them if anyone.

Also I don't know or care how many goals the Leafs bottom 6 scored. I don't follow them.
