When USA had to kill off a 5 on 3 in a 2-1 game with under four left, the coach sent him over the boards. And he made a really good play to break up a pass across the slot and shoot it down the ice.

After going pointless in his first 5 collegiate games, Samuelson now has points in 4 straight games. 9-2-2-4
I don’t expect him to be a point machine, so if he ends up over .5 ppg this season, I’ll consider it a success.

There was a lot of raving about his shutdown potential pre-draft. Good to see there's some offense as well. As long as the skating matches this level, we'll be in business with him. Leader too.

One thing that worries me with him is that he has some less than graceful feet, for today’s league. He needs to get at least up to Bogo skating for me to feel good about him being a consistent top 6 guy.

Really like our chances between him and Borgen for the Sabres to replace Scandella for an elc.

Bogosian is a great skater he just doesn’t know where he’s going. Give me a guy who is half the skater with twice the sense.
