True, but when the head coach and GM talk about Dahlin on RD, it's really possible and it would be beneficial for us. I would like to see Dahlin paired with Samuelsson.

Yes, I know, I just added, I have no problem if all three of them play LD, coach can always distribute the time in a balanced way, as Tampa does with Hedman, McDonagh and Sergachev.

3 x 3 seems likely. More than Joker but not a lot more.

If we don't want to pay more 4 million per, maybe he would do 4 x 4. Thats the best we could hope for.

Don't know why he would want to sign for more than 3 or 4 years, he could hit free agency in his prime and be worth 6 million minimum especially when the cap goes up.

Then again just by playing with Dahlin he will have more pointses.

He can be relatively underpaid with his 1st RFA deal if he is at 15 points a season. With Dahlin he will be at 20 or 25. 10 additional points may be an extra 1.5 million.

How is $4 million overkill? That’s low level top-4 D money. It’s a Rasmus Andersson-type deal that you look back on and say “wow how did we get him to agree to that?”

Watched Samuelsson a lot in person in his U18 season with the NTDP. He was always the steady one who played a ton and got put out in big moments. Stood out in a good way. He's just doing it now at the NHL level.
