Until they have to play in a Canadian city with a bit more pressure and attention.Hockey players are a different breed.

Let’s put it this way. I believe he had those injuries. I believe it hindered his play.Yeah, I'm partly calling bullshit here.
Definitely some embellishment going on.
You cannot skate at any level, let alone the NHL level, with the injuries he has described, even if you are tough as nails. Plus he seems to be partying all week with the team just fine.
Kinda reminds me of the never ending enhancements to the legend of Lemieux and his back injuries. At this point, I fully expect some podcaster to come out and claim his back was so bad, his teammates had to bring to the ice in a wheelbarrow
Oh he's definitely not making it up, I agree.Let’s put it this way. I believe he had those injuries. I believe it hindered his play.
I also believe that he was filled to the brim with all kinds of drugs and other pain relief to keep him going though his injuries.
My two cents.
It's crazy when you look at those numbers, but I thought he was terrible. He still got his minutes, he still passed the puck sideways all over the powerplay. Scored some big goals in game 5 of course...23 points in 23 games is an awful playoff run?
i mean the adductor is a multi-headed muscle, i wouldn't be surprised if you could fight through a torn segment given the amount of muscle these guys' lower bodies have and the access to world class drugsYeah, I'm partly calling bullshit here.

Crazy to hear what guys tolerate during the playoffs. Though this makes me wonder if Tkachuk will start to decline earlier than expected since he's taken so much punishment already.

His skating and compete level was brutal in Leafs series. I was waiting for the media to catch on, but they just never did. I think Bieksa called him lazy by about game 6.
Anyways it doesn't matter, he won the cup back to back and his legacy lives on forever. I'll remember him for being a terrible playoff performer.

What is a good playoff run in your eyes? 80 points in 23 games? It's crazy when you look at those numbers, but I thought he was terrible.
