Player Discussion Matthew Knies | Built for the Playoffs

Such a great future. Outside shot at the US Olympic team next year if he has a good season going. They really have nobody else with his combination of attributes.

Think he injured himself trying to check Mikkola (?) just inside the Panthers' blueline near the end of the 1st.
He’s a lock for the Olympic team IMO.

He is clearly injured but able to play through it tonight.

Hyperbaric chamber for him for the next two days no doubt.

What is it even? Charley horse?
Tough loss if he can’t play. We don’t know what it is yet, but he was holding his lower right side/hip area. Hope it’s not a hip pointer. They take a few weeks for normal humans. I guess we’ll find out in the next day. That reverse hit caught him in that him area. Hopefully it was just a pinch that can get massaged out.

The hit and the discomfort on the bench.

Really like what I see from Knies. Not just his play, but his heart and desire to win and be competitive. Huge breath of fresh air when compared to the rest.

Would like him to establish himself outside of Marner and Matthews. Can he drive his own line? How much of his play is being affect by playing with M and M? Hyman went nuclear away from them.
