That’s only because Marner feeds him, without Mitch he wouldn’t be nearly as impressiveNow tied with Tavares for points, good job so far.

Late to the party but yes.Does Knies get consideration for the Olympics next year?
I've never bought or worn a jersey before with someones name on the back, but I caught Matty playing in Switz before he was drafted and my Dad asked me afterwards if I picked up a jersey and I was just like, f***... that woulda been a nice to have.Yes Willy as well for sure, can't believe I forgot about him. I was gifted a Matthews jersey for my birthday in his rookie year, otherwise the only jerseys I've paid for were a discounted Rielly Toronto Arenas jersey and a Kadri jersey from 2013.
I've never bought anything ever but have been gifted a few things.
He's quickly becoming many fans favourite player.
Knies is more impactful in PO hockey than Marnie
Matty Knies my new favourite Leafs player is doing a nice job of replacing my former favourite Leaf player Zach Hyman since he departed.
Matty is becoming a real excellent powerforward and his net front presence and fearlessness to play near the blue paint and screen the goalie is making a 100% impact on many games.
Nobody can accuse him of scoring just net front greasy goals, because some of those breakaway beauties based on pure hustle and compete and determination have been of the highlight reel variety. That first goal he scored in Game 3 vs Florida gave me Eric Lindros vibes.

How about game #1 eventual Game Winner?
or game breaker vs. Ottawa
This kid has NHL star potential in the making.,
Knies was apparently told by the ref not to use his hands so much to screen the goalie.
Finally a Leaf willing to push the rules a bit..If you're not cheating, you're not trying
This guy needs an A next year.... I don't care who its taken from
Avery did it vs "fatso" years ago. But Avery turned around and faced Brodeur and tried to distract him.I remember when he did that, I was thinking I've never seen anyone do that before, that's awesome!
So the refs have told him not to do it "so much". So define "so much", where is that line drawn exactly? Where in the rulebook is this covered?
Is it possible that Knies has thought of something that nobody ever thought of before, and now the refs don't quite know what to do? I could be wrong of course, but that's what it feels like to me anyway. I haven't read the rule book but I can't imagine what the rule could be that he's breaking. Why can't he wave to his buddy at the blue line?
I love this kid!

This guy knows how to play. You either build around him or trade him.
Hands down more effective than Marner in the playoffs
Take Matthews’ C and run no captain.

Yes, thanks to Mitchy Knies was able to score those two beautiful breakaways and generally manhandle other team's dmen. That’s only because Marner feeds him, without Mitch he wouldn’t be nearly as impressive
I was being facetious , I do agree with youYes, thanks to Mitchy Knies was able to score those two beautiful breakaways and generally manhandle other team's dmen.

It’s pretty funny the panthers men just standing by leaving him untouched. They probably wanted no part of Knies. After Avery did that, I believe the nhl instituted a rule you couldn’t face the goalie while doing that obstruction thing. So pretty sure what Knies did in that clip is ok. Just surprising that the dmen let it go onI remember when he did that, I was thinking I've never seen anyone do that before, that's awesome!
