You have me mixed up with our friend @DanielBrassard
I don’t have you mixed up with anyone here. You’re a unicorn. 🦄

I’m not saying that’s a good thing…….

We need more of the happiness Robertson is showing

Positive body language
We are undefeated with Robertson in the lineup
Winning these games is annoying.

If we lost out and other teams did us some favors we could have finished as low as 8/9. Little luck moves you up a smidge? I’m comfortable keeping that pick I guess. Winning and ending up in the 13 spot just makes things muddier. They may keep it, they may pass on it. They are literally not doing themselves favors with these empty calorie wins at this stage. Par for the course.
I was rooting for that outcome as well but if the Ducks don't actually win any of their games, as long as the Islanders can pull ahead, we'd still be ending the season at the best possible draft position. The Pens blew it vs Boston so 9 OA was the best we could have managed. I am still wishing for that outcome as the percentage points for the lottery are mathematically in our interests.

Have you heard from anyone on the team other than Rempe that says nonstop that he wants to improve? His drive is his best attribute, not his size. He does not treat this chance to be in the NHL as a god-given right that like that French oaf.
Rempe: “I want to improve”

Also Rempe: *Leads the league in penalty rate taking the same dumb ass penalties repeatedly*

Was going to say similar. I wouldn’t draft a guy just because he’s big and can skate. But a big guy - to say the least - with a great motor is going to make himself a factor. That’s the combo we should be looking for - especially in the later rounds.

Doesn’t matter. This pick could be 6-8 and we’re still moving on from it. Next draft is stacked and this team is in shambles.

The improvements he's made with off ice training...get this guy some agility and 1-2 quickness and figure out if he can PK. With the reach and willingness to do anything would elevate his versatility. He's still young and raw but we need more Rempe and Berards that are dog on bone types.

Kid has a great attitude. His enthusiasm is never lost on me. I assume he is really well liked on this team. If he keeps that mindset up I want him in the lineup as often as possible. Just needs to work on his balance and reduce his PIM.

Tom Wilson was a 1st rounder. He played on the same CHL jr. team with JT. Wilson was in the NHL at a younger age than Rempe. He was a better skater at a younger age but he didn't look like he was ever going to be anything more than 3rd line at best. 3/4 years of not much production. Rempe plays a lot like that Tom Wilson now though. You drive the net with the big body and funnel pucks into the middle and let the chaos ensue. Wilson has learned how to take advantage of the chaos. Rempe was causing the Panthers D a lot of problems last night driving the play hard to the net. He's a bigger body, larger frame than Wilson. Next year we should have Edstrom back. They work together well.

Rempe has not stopped making improvements. We've seen improvements happening in season. He's making the most of his ice time and he's making the most of his practice time. He wants to be an NHL player. He wants to be a good NHL player.

Rempe is an asset. The type of guy any team would love to have. People show their asses when they claim he is some talentless plug. They can talk to me when the kid is 28 years old and see how impactful he is then.

Yeah, part of it is Rempe became very popular very quickly, and some people feel the need to shit on that sort of thing. Even if they had an argument at first that he didn't really belong in the NHL, that argument has aged very badly. Problem is some people are pretty incapable of admitting they were wrong. Don't expect those people to come around even when he is 28...

I did not watch this game. This team pisses me off too much right now. I'm unwilling to invest the (prime)time. Can't even lose when they should. Hahahaha.
I did DVR it though. I'll watch it later just to see how young players did. Apparently I will not be distracted by anything Laf did... Hahahaha.

Lucky for you, Laf didn't do a damn thing.

Rempe is pretty hilarious and entertaining as long as he's not taking really dumb penalties.

Watching teams and their defensemen getting surprised with his speed and unable to handle his size and that he somehow actually can make some plays with the puck is entertaining.

Rempe's backed off trying to run people through the boards. He's not been hitting full velocity and he's thinking before acting. His cycle game has improved. He works the puck in the corners and behind the net. He's working at using his body as a shield when he has the puck. He makes plays out to the point with regularity. He's always been good at going to the net. One of his issues defensively last year was trying to do too much. He's a lot more conscience about staying in good position now. If he gets the puck he has an idea of where or who he wants to move it too.
