Youtube: Matt Rempe vs Arber Xhekaj

Rempe dropped them and started punching before X knew he was in a fight. Then X dropped them and rocked Rempe. There are a couple of lefts by X at the 1:04 mark that rung Rempes bell. I'll give credit to Rempe, he took them square and didn't drop.

Rempe brain is going to be mush in the next few years. Normally i care but in this case, Rempe can and will hurt a non-fighter so I don't care much for him.

Rempe’s lucky the league isn’t full of guys with KO power anymore or he’d be cooked already

Rempes NHL fight card (Hockeyfights.com):

Olivier - Bad loss - This was such a damn beat down, lol
Deslauriers - loss
Wifi - loss
McIlrath - loss
Macdermid - loss
Reaves - loss
Martin - Win

That said, he's got stones because those are the top guys in the league (not Martin anymore)

I know that Rempe spent some of his offseason with Georges Laraque. What exactly was he taught? Laraque was a southpaw fighter who had a massive advantage in strength over every guy he fought. He would become better by getting lessons from John Scott, a guy who knew how to use his length to his advantage.

Laraque also spun you into a circle quite a bit. He'd get you in the spin cycle and there wasn't much you could do at all.

Rempe looks like he got lessons from Tom Kostopulous.

That is total gold.

I guess he was reminded that his hands are not just for pointing at scoreboards

Thats a fair analysis, Kostopulous was all heart, zero fighting ability. Don’t think I ever saw him win one.
