He's down on the list of existing problems. Mika letting someone cut in front of him in line to a puck is a much bigger problem.

The guy was having a game prior to the elbow. Drew 3 penalties. Who was the last NY Ranger to draw 3 Penalties in one game? Avery?
In addition to that he had 2 Grade A scoring chances. Add 5 hits on the night, and thats as effective as you are going to get from a 4th liner. Thats the Rempe effect. But, the Rempe effect is certainly not without flaws and the Elbowing major was a major brain malfunction.
With all of that said, Please keep this guy up with the team. He injected life into a lifeless squad.

He'll be suspended for at least 5 games, and possibly 10. He will not be appearing for the Rangers any time soon.

It's because he's the most viewed player on social media since he entered the league, there is a microscope on every little thing he does. Rempe slows down and glides into every hit, whereas guys like Reaves, Wilson, Joshua, etc get away with charging full steam ahead into every hit. I wish Rempe could play like them. Rempe is just too big. If he were actually skating full steam ahead into these hits like practically any other physical players do, they would be wheeling guys off on stretchers.
After years of our guys being ragdolled and having their heads smashed into the ice without suspension, forgive me if I don't feel bad having a bully on our team for once. He didn't even injure anybody, but the pearlclutchers are out in droves.
He was skating great all over the ice and bulldozing his way through everyone drawing penalties left & right. 3 in the span of 7 minutes.
Igor was on a podcast recently talking about how differently they played with Rempe in the lineup and how they all know he has their backs. Also talked about how great of a guy he is in the room/off the ice. He totally changes the complexion of the team and is such an impactful player despite being an extremely raw kid filling into the biggest frame in the history of the sport. Better to tame a tiger than paint stripes on a p***ycat.

If the NHL was smart ...they would go light on his suspension . He is undoubtedly the most talked about young man in the NHL today . He will sell out arenas EVERYWHERE !!! Hockey is a sport where they absolutely ADORE villains ....always have and always will ....love them or hate them....they sell tickets....they stop to watch the replays ....they stand up cheering loudly after a hit or fight win or lose and or good or bad . It's all about the money and this kid is a marketing dream . Couple of games would be lots .

Ovie used to hit Girardi harder then that every game....3 or 4 times a game....and never penalized !!!! Look at some of the hits Lindros threw on guys in his time in the league....

I love the kid and want him in the lineup every night. This is clear cut. Can’t hit someone square on the numbers. Expect suspension for repeat offender.

I'm really tired of this guy. If he never played another game for us, I would not care.
You've been here long enough to know that the main boards are a cesspit of stupidity that shouldn't be ventured into except in the rarest of circumstances, and even then for the least amount of time possible

Why are you worried about them? If they're bugging you just ignore them.
Just a dumb player. If they would have scored 2 goals during the 5 minute major and it cost us the game would the pro Rempe comments be the same. By now the light bulb should have kicked in. And to boot with roster freeze if he gets suspended we are down a spot. As Forrest Gump said Stupid is as Stupid does.
