See, people keep saying this, and yet Chara wasn't constantly suspended. Tyler Myers isn't constantly suspended. Hal Gill wasn't constantly suspended. Hell, Derek Boogaard wasn't constantly suspended and he was a pure enforcer, himself. It's almost like being a giant person isn't an excuse for being a giant turd. Or is the excuse that he's just terrible at his job? Which is he, malicious or incompetent?

Being big isn’t an excuse either. Chara wasn’t doing this every other game. Guys currently in the league like Myers, Vlasic, Edstrom on the same f***ing team don’t have those issues.

Even a borderline hit or a standard penalty looks malicious due to his size but only half of his infractions are truly as bad as his reputation.

I think Rempe has more of those hits in his 20 game career than Chara/Gill had in their careers. Just a dumb guy is all.

Chars and Gill didn't do much forechecking. It's hard to hit guys that way when the play is coming at you.

If they were playing with Rempe's intent, they could've killed guys in the corner, there was some questionable hits, but with Rempe it's like every 3-5 games he does something stupid to incredibly stupid/dangerous. That wasn't the case with any other behemoths because they understand if they want to stay in the game they can't try and kill every player on every play.

When you are that size, your goal (especially if you have a history of suspensions) should be to make the safest contact possible from your own interest, that means he will literally skate into players in the most non threatening and non charging way possible so as to avoid doing something dumb/suspendable. Rempe hasn't learned that yet.
