My big concern is his current status and the pressure of this market. I think it's a high risk move on someone that was a good tender. If it were a bet, I think the odds are against his success here vs. a low stress market.

True! It would be more palatable if we weren’t paying him $4.6M lolStupid poll without the salary.
Of all the (super legitimate) things to be worried about with Murray, I don't think this is one of them. If he can deal with the extreme pressure of back to back finals, I'm sure he can deal with a fickle fanbase and a stupid ass media. My big concern is his current status and the pressure of this market. I think it's a high risk move on someone that was a good tender. If it were a bet, I think the odds are against his success here vs. a low stress market.
Yes, I believe Murray can bounce back in Toronto.
I also believe Dubas did not take advantage of the situation enough under the circumstances.
Stupid poll without the salary.
If Ottawa buys him out, which was their only choice, no one would sign him for $4.7m per season for 2 seasons.
Dubas is an idiot and got absolutely hosed here.
This is going to be even more of a disaster than the Mrazek signing and the Foligno trade…..
Like the player, like the gamble, hate the cap hit, hate the deal
Murray @ 2 years was the best option available IMO.
I agree, Keumper has fuTure LTIR candidate written all over him. The guy probably needs eye surgery in the near future. Campbell on a long term deal is probably a bad idea. Gibson would cost too much, Husso is unknown. At least Murray has a winning pedigree.
I just wish it was at 50% retained
