You can stress test him all you want based on emotion and some kind of idea of now or never, but if you mess him up and he’s out 4-6 weeks tweaking his whatever on a routine shot while Stolarz is out you’re going to be using Murray and Hildeby out of necessity and then you are truly f’ed.

He’s also signed for the next few years so your timeline is entirely artificial. He could steal the job from Stolarz down the stretch. It could be next year.

Very true...but they were 38+ years old, about same as half the defencemen and the captain. We knew who Bower and Sawchuk were, they had won cups, we need to find out who Woll is.
