If it was up to me, I would have Woll play virtually every single game while Stolartz is out. To your point, the guy has to show that he can be a starter. Why do we want to use an inferior goalie, give Murray opportunities in the NHL when he cannot even play in the AHL.
Why doesn't Woll play 5 games in a row, why are we afraid to let him just play...is he that injury prone? This is rediculous. You have 2 good goaltenders and it us expected when one gets hurt the other one should pick up 90 % of the slack. Murray has proved to be incapable in the past 5 years, both physically and mentally.
So let's kill Wolls confidence, let the headache Murray spend more time in our room, send the message to Woll we do not trust him.
This is a joke.
Murray is NOT an insurance policy, he is just known...as being a bad goalie.
Let him earn his money. He should be wanting to play more, not hiding. Step up, or step asìde. They tried this nonsense with Murray before. Now Woll is a part time NHL goalie.Woll is as fragile as any of them. I think they want to keep him in a platoon's workload and let him build strength and endurance and stay healthy most of all while Stolarz gets right. Don't shock him with number one duties with no safety net. If he gets hurt Murray and Hildeby will be starting a lot more than you'd be comfortable with.
The silly thing about all of this is that Woll can absolutely play a full workload. Worst case, if he gets injured because he played 5 games in a row, then at least you have your answer on him.Let him earn his money. He should be wanting to play more, not hiding. At some point he has to. Why can't it be this season? With weeks to go until Stolarz comes back?
Woll has also never played more than 37 games in a season at any level of hockey since college.

Leafs need a legit #3 goaltender. Swap Murray for Reimer and move on.
If not now, when?I don't mind giving Woll a heavier load but not when he doesn't have a real NHL backup.
If not now, when?
This is when you need him, as a young goalie he should be demanding to play not allowing Murray to take his job
Yes now, if he cannot do it now, as a young man, he will never do it. He should ge playing every game, we need warriors not part timers. We need a team in front of him to love him, to defend for him. If we continue to play Murray and Hildbey, we will lose anyway.Well if he breaks down the next time you start him back to back you’ll be using Murray and Hildeby a lot more over the next 3 weeks. So I would re-emphasize NOT NOW.
If he gets hurt you will have a month + of nothing but Hildeby and Murray.Yes now, if he cannot do it now, as a young man, he will never do it. 1967, 57 yrs. Playing it safe to be close is not important. We cannot give half our games to goalies with .879 save %. If he gets hurt so be it...If he gets hurt you will have a month + of nothing but Hildeby and Murray.
At this point Woll is already playing everything but back to backs. Pushing him to do more than that is just dumb. Especially when the potential downside if he gets hurt.
Your solution to this would lead to all of our games being played by goalies with sub .900 save %.1967, 57 yrs. Playing it safe to be close is not important. We cannot give half our games to goalies with .879 save %. If he gets hurt so be it...
Ok, if he doesn't play on consecutive nights he drill plays 3/4 of the games...he needs to become a big boy...not a college goalie. Good goalies in this league play 65 games min...not 30. He has an opportunity to step up...the back ups cannot help us win.Your solution to this would lead to all of our games being played by goalies with sub .900 save %.
No teams play goalies in back to backs anymore. In the extremely rare cases it happens it’s basically an emergency and they certainly don’t do it regularly especially with have man back to backs we have.

Storokin, 13 out of 14,He has played everything but back to back since Stolarz went down.
What are you even complaining about at this point?
What does that have to do with the fact that Woll has played everything but both halves of back to backs since Stolarz went down.Storokin, 13 out of 14,
Wow....no anger hereWhat does that have to do with the fact that Woll has played everything but both halves of back to backs since Stolarz went down.
You are just making up reasons to get angry at this point.
I give up……Wow....no anger here
I just want our best goalie on the ice every game...period. No AHL guys with 879. Not a has been injury prone wet dream who no one else wants.
Year 57. Stand up and be counted if you want to be # 1. His chance is NOW. Just stand up, take control and by the time Stolarz is back we know who we have. This is not a blue Jay pitching staff.
Ok genius....I give up……
None of that rambling nonsense has anything to do with anything.
