Moore will earn a base salary of $ 2.5m in Detroit, with possible incentives of a total $ 1m. The Tigers tried such bounceback signings a year ago with Fiers and Liriano. Just like the latter, Moore might be best utilised as a swingman, but the Tigers already have other candidates for this (LHP B. Hardy in particular).
