So that means Braun/Irwin/Demers will rotate being the 7th man? Depth is good but I kind of want to see all three with regular play time. Then again, Boyle only has one year left.

It's not a great deal. Irwin has been good but nothing to warrant a larger deal at all. It's a fair deal for both sides. If he has some upside he will get PAID next contract.

Are you insane? Scott Hannan was paid $1M this year. Colin White was paid $1M last year. Niclas Wallin was paid $2.65M two years ago. Irwin is 10 times better than any of those guys, plus upside.

Great deal, good length. This fits with DW's MO of short term "prove it" contracts, with a larger deal to follow if he keeps up his current play over the next couple seasons.
