My guess they want to get a look at Grez and will play tonight instead of C Miller or Morrow. Motive for a trade maybe?

Not sure i'd chuck him in there against the Pens unless Krug and McQuaid are both injured.

Might as well see what we've got. If he's a good one, then we can move on one of our bottom 6 defenders in a trade.

Both Krug and McQuaid are available as per Julien, so we'll see.

At this point i am confused.

I just dont understand not letting C Miller and Morrow play every day. I would like to see Morrow and Miller on the PP. I just dont know what they are thinking other then they are not good enough.

Hope Grzelcyk does well. I read somewhere this kid is a PP weapon. Great on the point. We need that badly. We have nobody that can do it.

They got 7 guys and 2 questionable so Grizz needs both out and he's in

I think anyways

Colin Miller should be on the point during powerplay.Way better shot then Krug or Krecji. Not sure what they are thinking in regards to this unless its his play when not on the powerplay.

I'm honestly one of the least enthusiastic people on this board regarding Colin Miller and even I think he should be in there almost every night, if not every night, at this point.

Wrong night to throw the kid in there, he has struggled.

If there was ever any wonder about how much Claude despises using Colin and Morrow tossing Gryz into tonight's game on a whim should drill the point home.

Is this real life with some of these post regarding C Miller and or Morrow? It should tell folks what the coach thinks of them or the GM wants to keep them healthy to dump them off in a trade before the freeze

Funny, but I always thought Grzelcyk's name was pronounced "Grel-chick". But, according to Mike Emerick, the "dean" of hockey announcers, it's pronounced as "Grizz-lick". Anyway, he didn't look out of place tonight vs Pens.

Fed to the wolves.

Absolutely.

If this team was stuck, fine, you play him. But they weren't.

You have two healthy D with 125 NHL games experience between them and you choose to toss in a 1st-year pro rookie D against the cup champs who have been steamrolling opponents as of late, instead?

Then you toss him out there in 3 on 3 OT up against the likes of Crosby and Malkin?

I have no problem with the way he played tonight. He had his hands full and did "ok." Not great, not horrible. The coaching staff was idiotic to put him in this game against an awesome team when they had perfectly good other options. Total garbage decision.

I thought it was ill-advised.

Can certainly question calling him up, but he had a good game for his NHL debut. Looked sharp on the PP and made some quick outlet passes. Certainly a work in progress, but it's not like Cmiller or Morrow bring much more on any given night.
