He was missed in many ways, one ice he's one tough hombre and that does help all the players in front of him. The PK is better, the D pairings balance out better. In the locker room, he's a very vocal guy and usually dead on in his comments and he doesn't mince his words, he calls a spade a spade. He has a great sense of humor and that is one of the ways, a good dose of brevity, adds to the teams composure.
They really missed him in all areas and with every game he's getting his timing and game legs back . Usually (by other players who've gone thr it) it takes a couple weeks to get back where you're playing at the level you want. So him getting these games in before the playoffs is huge.

>>>>>> ellerby

he does walk the line on some of his checks, where i thought he could have had a penalty.

He was not pleased with his first game and I understand why. Timing was there, a little coverage confusion on the PK (was in the box for the next one), etc. That's to be expected though. Last night I thought he was a little sharper in all areas. They need him to get up to speed because Muzzin needs someone to stabilize that pairing. I thought he and Ellerby was kind of vulnerable and looked confused in the San Jose game at times.

It might be a minute until Greener is tossing guys around down low, but I think he will prove to be a clear upgrade in short order, he just needs these last few games to get his feet under him.

Yup. Important since we all know either van, SJ or St Louis is gonna goon it up in the first round

First of all, I don't know if either Vancouver or San Jose (with the exception of Thornton and now that ass-hole Torres) have the personnel to goon it up.

Second, each team that lost its composure and discipline against the Kings last season had an early exit, with the exception of New Jersey, who only lost it in game 6.
