If he stays he is definitely on a two way deal. Can't really picture this as management has been on repeat about making room for our prospects. He s a decent player but I think columbus is trying to put together legitimate top line, 2nd 3rd and 4th lines instead of the consensus 2 2nd lines and 2 3rd lines that we are playing with. No room, echo on the contract dump and forward depth reasoning.

Frattin was a pretty big hitter in his younger years and even with his extended stay with the Leafs, saying he was bad while only playing 4 games is a little unjust. 40 games with the Stanley cup winning team and contributing minimal points is understandable. I cant see a fit for him with CBJ past this year though.

I don't mind that we qualified him. He could still be a decent bottom 6 guy. 36 goals and 60 points in 44 games at North Dakota only 4 years ago. Maybe we get lucky and he can somehow tap back into that offensive prowess he once had.

I take the Frattin qualification as a sign that Skille is moving on.
