Of all players prob the guy with the most heart. Hopefully trip to hospital is all precautionary

Do not post information speculating about or detailing an injury without a link to a credible media source.

"I heard from a guy" is not a credible source.

I've been a ranger fan since 97'ish. i can't remember a player who became such a beloved, fan favorite faster than Zucc (maybe Lundqvist? but its close). all i see are Zucc jerseys. i love this guy

He makes everything he does look fun. He hustles, always gives his all, and he took less to stay here, he is going to be a favorite forever. He makes this team looser, he is integral to the team's success.

I have to say I was meh on him when he was first here. He won me over 3 years ago. The end of the season against Florida, I got tickets. He was the only player that came to play on the Rangers besides Hank. Callahan looked like ass for example. Anyway, my opinion changed that night.

It is good that you have an open mind. Sometimes that is hard for fans (including myself).

I read Zooks was taken to the hospital but no other updates have been available. I think Zooks was already playing through an undisclosed injury. I really hope he is okay for him as much or more than anything. I'm glad he will have around a week to rest.

I admit I am as stubborn as can be, but it was too difficult to not see he was playing his ass off.

I thought he had a foot injury from blocking a shot. But who knows the way he plays he could have hurt something else.

I appreciate what the mod did, because the post he removed came from a guy who often throws crap around here about Zuccarello. Not a very reliable source is it..

Besides, there are no words that Zucc is seriously injured, as the guy indicated.

So I guess nothing official on Zuc yet? Hopefully if he was taken to the hospital it was just for observation. If the puck hit him a couple inches lower it could have been really bad. Guys would start watching out for McDonagh. lol

I heard from a guy is a credible source when he works for the team. Sorry, I'll have him set up a Twitter next time so he can risk his job when I link to it on HF.
hehe, but you must understand the mods as well. Without requiring sources, HFboards would end up a cesspool of rumors, hearsay and false information before long :)

He is very reliable. He had Stempniak and Brass being out with the mumps way before anyone else did and the nature of Stepan's injury that kept him out of the Boston game earlier this year.

I don't know about you, but taking a puck to the temple is pretty ****ing serious. That doesn't mean hes going to miss significant time but theres a reason he didn't come back to the game.

This guy doesn't work for the team more than I do, again...lack of source. I'm glad the mods clean it up.

Don´t know if the lack of news are good or bad news. I would guess the doctors know by now, and if it was serious, you would think they would release a statement, even though it´s a Saturday.....

Still, I am very concerned. This sucks so bad.

so a guy can't have opinions that are negative and still have sources within the organization? that is an absurd premise. he has proven multiple times that he is extremely reliable and it is a shame that his post was removed. i wasn't able to see what he wrote, but whatever he said i hope it was positive because there is no doubt in my mind that it is correct. ridiculous it was removed.

I can assure you that it wasn´t even close to being positive. And that is probably why the mod removed the post and gave a warning. Even though he has ben reliable earlier, it might not be a good idea that that kind of information gets spread around before we get an official statement from the Rangers.

It's out of your hands. If he was hit in the temple, than I am confident they sent him to be evaluated and monitored. From what I understand, the danger with being hit in the temple is greatest at time of impact, not afterwards.

If it was cheek/jaw, he'd probably have to have surgery and have it wired shut, ala Stepan last year.

If it was concussion it would limit him, but it varies by person, and a slapper from McD hitting him in the side of the helmet would probably be less severe than (for example) getting koed from a vicious blind side hit.

Exactly. If this very reliable source of ours was correct about Zucc having a serious head injury, we would certainly have heard about it by now.

And you guys in Norway should keep an eye on the papers there, they would probably know whats going on with Zuccarello before anyone else.

do you know how the playoffs work? you never find out about what an injury is until the team is eliminated. if zuccarello does have a serious head injury, the only report we will get is day to day with a UBI.

Yet articles and other information that come from other non-reputable sources have always been allowed.
Because they are an external source :)

Im sure that the nature of the source plays a part as well.. if a site/blog reports something wrong 10 times in a row, the mods might be somewhat hesitant to allow it (i would think anyway).

When a guy has proven that he may have some inside information on the team and posts something, what is the harm in leaving it up? Part of what makes this site great is that you can log in and get every piece of up-to-date information on the team. Scaring away people who can potentially share that information when the media won't is really counter-intuitive.

I'm not saying he's necessarily right, but I've seen threads span pages and pages of speculation on guessing the injury of a player. People know the risk of believing a post without a legitimate source. If he posts it and it ends up being wrong, the worst case scenario is that it gets buried with the other dozen of posts that were also incorrect.
Im not saying he is wrong (my understanding is that in the past, he has been very accurate), just providing a reasonable explanation to why the post was removed.

And guessing someones injury is generally never a problem ("i think he has a leg injury, he must have a wrist problem... he definitely has a groin concussion" etc), its making statements without being able to back them up that is an issue (IE, "Sources close to the NYR confirms that Hayes broke both legs while celebrating yesterday and will center the third line in a wheelchair next series") :)
