I looked back at my post and I thought that a 4 year $2.75m AAV with a lot of bonus (to essentially make it fully guaranteed) would be a fair deal. I'll stick with that.
A highly skilled team with a guy who won't tolerate dirty runs at the team stars is part of the equation for a top team. If Voronkov can get a little meaner, then a combo of him and Olivier give the CBJ a physicality/toughness level that a lot of teams lack now and I think that having this toughness will serve them well.
With the cap going up like it's projected (to around $100 million I've read), $3 million is a very workable number for a guy like Olivier. I hope Waddell gets it done sooner rather than later. Like Koteka said, there will be a demand for Olivier. He's not going to come as cheap as we'd ideally want.
