Injury Report: Mathew Dumba - Returns Tonight vs. CHI

Having issues with a 20 year old with Dumba's qualities is far less a problem than a 24 year old . I think he will still end up as a good one.

Judging by the coaching change in Iowa, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dumba stay with Minnesota until things settle down.

Dumba didn't play and we still lost. Imagine that.

What does this even mean? Has there been a single person who has said Dumba is the sole cause of the teams issues lately or is even the root cause?

Dumba is only playing a sheltered 12ish minutes a night. He's not the reason the team has dropped 4 straight, and no one is blaming him for that.

But it is obvious from those sheltered 12 minutes a night, he is not ready for the NHL. As the NHL shouldn't be used as a development league, he should go to Iowa.

I don't see how Falk is a better alternative. He is brutal, and has no offensive upside.

Good move. Looked great in the preseason and that likely got him on the team. Get him to Iowa to develop. He'll be back and a big part of out blue line IMO down the road.

How's he been in Iowa?

I've watched 2 games, so it's not a lot to go off of. But he was very good offensively, he scored on a shot where he shattered his stick, and he had a really nice suter-esque stretch pass to send Keranen in all alone. But I've also seen him get burned defensively several times. So he looked much like he did here right now.

Good for Dumba. Glad to see he's doing well in the AHL.

I'd be happy just letting him stay down in Iowa for the rest of the year and be "the guy" in Des Moines. Would be great for his confidence this summer and going into training camp next year.

No reason to think any lower of this kid yet. Give him all the time he needs to develop in the AHL, no reason to rush him, especially this season.

This is the perfect season for him to develop down in Iowa.
After seeing tuch in wjc, I doubt he will stay 4 years at bc
