He’s been noticeably playing hurt for a long while nowI have not seen him on the stat sheet lately.
How has he been doing?

Pretty much everyone here is convinced he’s playing through multiple injuries. IMO, the fact that he hasn’t been shut down is malpractice
We've talked about it. It's bizarre. It's not smelling salts.Does enyone notice Mason's head tic? It's kind of scarying me all season long. Looks like that it appears more and more often through the season. I have a couple of video to explain what I mean. I tried to search in this thread some messages raised this issue but seems like no one mentioned it before.

Zegras is the better player. But not the captainI wonder who will ultimately be better between him and Zegras? Can see an argument for either at this point. I think McTavish has pushed ahead right now but Zegras has slightly higher upside
Maybe his helmet is loose? Or maybe a bit ocd or something? I suspect it’s not a big deal. I wonder if he was doing that last yearDoes enyone notice Mason's head tic? I think he hates the visor, he always positions his helmet as high as he can to raise the visor completelyMaybe his helmet is loose? Or maybe a bit ocd or something? I suspect it’s not a big deal. I wonder if he was doing that last year
This is exactly what it is. You can tell he does everything he can to get the visor out of the way.I think he hates the visor, he always positions his helmet as high as he can to raise the visor completely
It’s extremely close between Zegras and McTavish as far as who will ultimately be the better playerZegras is the better player. But not the captain
I always thought this, but I’ve seen him do it 3-4 times in a row, when one time would have sufficed. He does it on the bench too. This is exactly what it is. You can tell he does everything he can to get the visor out of the way.
It’s probably become such a habit that he does it even when he doesn’t need to. He really should figure out a workaround.I always thought this, but I’ve seen him do it 3-4 times in a row, when one time would have sufficed. He does it on the bench too.
I'm losing faith in him. He's better, but has major Nick Ritchie vibes. Serious lack of discipline and hockey IQ
We saw flashes of what Mason could be at the beginning of last year. I'm holding out for THAT Mac (without the penalties). But it's extremely disheartening that he's doing nothing but committing infractions.
Coaches tend to pick on players that are constantly taking bad penalties.Mac did well with Vatrano & Strome as his wingers at the start of last year. Mac did well in a 9-game spell with Vatrano-Terry (6 games)/Leason (3 games).
When Terry got put with Vatrano & Strome, Terry's game game came to life. It's odd that if you pair Vatrano & Strome with an offensive youth, then things work out well.
I only caught the 3rd period. It was foolish for Mac to go after the Ranger that boarded Killorn b/c Killorn secured a PP, but Mac is showing that "pack mentality" that Cronin and Verbeek was preaching. We're fortunate that we scored at 4v4.
It does feel like Mac is this year's version of Zegras getting picked on hard by Cronin.
