Marchment does have a 10 team no trade list that comes into play. I would prefer not to give up Mcmann as a fast, 20g two way pwf on a nice contract. But I can see how it would be beneficial as a framework for both teams.

We’ll see. I do think you’re undervaluing Mcmanns value to a team like Dallas. Marchments definitely the more skilled player, which is what Toronto would need if Marner leaves. But he’s also slower, and not as good defensively, with a more bloated contract.

Dallas doesn't have a ton of cap space and I do think they are going to want to keep Mavrik Bourque.

in order to do that I think they are goin to want to move some salary and i think it's possible Mason Marchment is the guy.

If he were on the block what would the return be?

What would Dallas be looking for in return is the real question. Needs/wants?
